The panther is the captain
With girls' and women's teams it goes differently. The captain does not pick a band, the team picks a print. And then it is panther, cow spots or pink camouflage. Panther has been the shop's best-selling print for three years.
Posted on September 21, 2026
The reason is simple: the print belongs to the team, not the club. It is a band you recognise off the pitch as well — in the team photo, in the dressing room, in the Instagram story after the match. No club crest is needed, because the panther is the crest. And the C on it is the only thing that says this is a captain's band.
How we make a print
A print has to run on: the band goes round the arm and the seam sits on the inside, so the pattern must not have a hard edge anywhere. We draw every print over the full length of the band, with the C in the middle where it sits on the outside of the arm. Want the print in another colour — panther in blue, cow in pink — then it is a matter of asking.
"They all wanted to be captain, so we had eleven made. Every week someone else wears the C, the rest have the print without the letter."

Professional football
One match, one band: Sparta – PSV
On 6 May 2023 Sparta's captain wore a band that was used exactly once. Both club crests, the date, the opponent. After the final whistle it did not go back in the bag; it went to the display cabinet. More and more clubs turn every home match into a small monument this way — and it costs less than you think.

Countries & tournaments
Orange on the arm — and 74 other countries
The country band is the classic. At a Euros or a World Cup it is everywhere: in the schoolyard, at the neighbourhood tournament, on the campsite in France. But the best-selling country band in our shop is not the Netherlands. It is the Czech Republic.

City & region
Stronger through struggle
Rotterdam's coat of arms carries a motto that might as well have been written for every captain. Regional bands are the shop's quiet bestsellers: Utrecht has been on top for years, with Rotterdam, Limburg and The Hague behind it.
