Which captain armband size do I need?
The band is elastic and sits around the upper arm. Measure your upper arm and look it up in the chart. In doubt between two sizes? Take the larger one, with velcro.
How to measure
1Arm relaxed at your side
Put the tape around the thickest part of the upper arm: the biceps, a hand above the elbow. That is where the band sits.
2Snug, not tight
Pull the tape until it just touches the skin without squeezing and read the centimetres.
3No tape measure?
A piece of string or a shoelace works too: wrap it around the arm, pinch the point and lay it along a ruler.
Children: measure the child, not the age. Upper arms differ a lot from child to child.
Over a shirt or a sleeve? Add 1 cm to the circumference, or use the comfortable column.

Snug: the band sits like a second skin. Comfortable: a little wider, for over a shirt or when you wear it the whole match.
L is our standard size: by far most bands leave the shop in L.

Who is the band for?
Which height?
8 cm is the standard and fits almost everyone. 6 cm for small arms and indoor sports; 10 cm for keepers or over a long sleeve.
Stitched or velcro?
Stitched: one fixed size, sits smoothest on the arm.
Velcro: about 3 cm adjustable, handy when the band goes from player to player.
Frequently asked questions
What if I am between two sizes?
Take the larger one and choose velcro; then you set it exactly.
Does the band stretch?
Yes, the band is elastic. That is why you measure snug and take the larger size when in doubt.
Which size for a child?
Measure the upper arm. It usually comes out at XS for 6 to 12 years and S for teenagers, but children differ a lot: measuring beats guessing.
Can I wear the band over a shirt?
Yes. Add 1 cm to the circumference or use the comfortable column.
Which size is the standard?
L, for an average adult arm. It is by far the size we make most; a band from the collection opens in L.
